An on-demand medical transport startup raises $1.9 million in seed financing

RoundTrip, a Richmond-based startup that developed a software enabling patients to book trips to and from medical care appointments, has raised $1.9 million in an initial seed round financing.
The company received the funding from four key institutional investors as well as from individual investors including several from the Richmond Region. The company, which currently offers its services in 15 states in New England and the mid-Atlantic, plans to expand its sales, marketing and tech teams and its platform to more states.
Richmond is the company’s largest market, where hundreds of transports are being handled weekly through the RoundTrip platform.
