Shockoe Bottom building planned as office space for startup businesses

Two Richmond-area businessmen are planning to redevelop a building in Shockoe Bottom as an incubator office for startup businesses.

Will Loving and Brad Cummings announced on Wednesday night that they have acquired a 36,000-square-foot, five-story building at 1717 E. Cary St.

They plan to renovate the former tobacco warehouse by late 2017 and lease offices in the building for companies in early development.
