Two big economic development announcements this summer rounded off a solid, and busy, first year for Barry I. Matherly as leader of the Greater Richmond Partnership.
“It was a strong year but a particularly strong summer,” said Matherly, who was promoted as president and CEO of the regional economic development organization in July 2015.
Matherly, 51, the second CEO in the partnership’s history, succeeded Gregory H. Wingfield, who had served as the top officer since the partnership was founded in 1994. He retired in 2015.
