Richmond City Council’s Dr. Newbille named Chair of the Greater Richmond Partnership

RICHMOND, Va. (Sept. 6, 2022) – The Greater Richmond Partnership (“GRP”), the lead regional economic development organization serving the City of Richmond and counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico in Virginia, announces Dr. Cynthia I. Newbille, President of the Richmond City Council, as Chair of the Board of Directors. Charlene Whitfield, Senior Vice President – Power Delivery for Dominion Energy, was named Chair-elect. Patricia S. O’Bannon, Chair of the Henrico County Board of Supervisors, was named Vice Chair. Sal Mancuso, EVP and CFO of Altria Group, moves into the Immediate Past Chair role. All positions were effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
A public-private nonprofit organization, GRP is governed by a sixteen-member board made up of officials from each of Greater Richmond’s four localities plus executives from the organization’s 100+ corporate investors. GRP’s Board of Directors for fiscal year 2022-2023 are as follows:
