Greater Richmond Partnership completes accreditation by the International Economic Development Council

RICHMOND, Va. (July 15, 2024) – The Greater Richmond Partnership (GRP) announces the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) recognized GRP as one of 82 Accredited Economic Development Organizations (AEDOs) among its 4,500-member organizations, ranking it in the top 1 percent of organizations nationwide. First accredited in 2016, GRP was reaccredited by IEDC following eight successful years of activity as an AEDO member.

“The Greater Richmond Partnership displays the professionalism, commitment and technical expertise that is deserving of this honor,” said IEDC President and CEO Nathan Ohle.

The AEDO program is a comprehensive peer review process that measures economic development organizations against commonly held standards in the profession. The program consists of two phases: a documentation review and an onsite visit. Each phase is designed to evaluate information about the structure, organization, funding, program and staff of the candidate economic development organization.

The Greater Richmond Partnership’s AEDO accreditation proves the organization has attained a measure of excellence as well as assures its clients that their trust is well placed and their business is in good hands.
