RICHMOND, Va. (Jan. 8, 2024) – The Greater Richmond Partnership (GRP) announces Richmond is recognized as the eighth-best city for corporate headquarters projects in the U.S. according to Site Selection Magazine’s annual survey.
The survey, conducted in December 2023, gathered insights from industry experts and site consultants on various aspects of corporate location intelligence including preferred business climates, workforce challenges and critical location factors.
Jennifer Wakefield, President + CEO of GRP, expressed confidence in Richmond’s ranking, citing the city’s strategic location as a pivotal advantage. “Our location is one of our greatest advantages,” states Wakefield. “We are equidistant to Washington, D.C., and the Research Triangle; and we are equidistant to Boston and Miami. That’s one reason 11 Fortune 1000 companies are headquartered here. We have been very intentional about marketing to corporate executives and site consultants, and our hard work is paying off.”
GRP remains committed to fostering a welcoming business environment, capitalizing on the region’s unique advantages to attract and retain corporate headquarters to contribute to the region’s economic growth.
