The firm that wants to develop a new technology park north of eastern Henrico County’s White Oak Technology Park says investment by data centers and advanced manufacturing operations there could exceed $1 billion.
But to make the development possible, Dominion Energy needs permission to build a new 230-kilovolt transmission line to run in part through the 320 acres of the proposed VAH Data Center Campus, Brian Jenkins, senior managing director of Hourigan Development LLC, said in a filing with the State Corporation Commission.
Hourigan has contracts to buy the parcels comprising the 320-acre site at U.S. Route 60 and Technology Boulevard. It is 2 miles northwest of White Oak Technology Park.
