Greater Richmond Partnership adds Oakes as VP of Strategy and Lee as Marketing Manager

RICHMOND, Va. (June 29, 2021) – The Greater Richmond Partnership (“GRP”), the lead regional economic development organization serving the City of Richmond and counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico in Virginia, announces that Angela Oakes is the new Vice President of Strategy.
“I am excited to welcome Angela to GRP to lead our organizational strategy,” said Jennifer Wakefield, President and CEO of the Greater Richmond Partnership. “Her versatility of working at the local and state level, as well as with several private-sector technology firms, will help our organization move forward with long-range strategies.”
In her near decade of economic development experience, Oakes has worked in marketing, research and business development. She’s holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University and bachelor’s degree from University of Richmond.
Also joining the staff is Jason Lee as Marketing Manager. Lee was a former GRP intern while in Virginia Commonwealth University’s Integrated Marketing Communications program. He most recently earned his master’s degree in Strategic Communications from Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.
“We identified Jason’s talents early in his career as an intern and are excited to have him back on staff,” said Wakefield. “He can hit the ground running as we expand our regional marketing efforts.”
