RICHMOND, Va. (March 17, 2025) – The Greater Richmond Partnership (GRP) announces Kyla Ramdat joins the team as Business Development Coordinator. Ramdat will support initiatives to attract new companies to the region through lead generation activities and more.
Ramdat has more than five years of experience in economic development with expertise in business retention, stakeholder engagement and public-sector collaboration. In previous roles, Ramdat supported developing grants for small businesses and municipalities across the U.S. and managed client projects. She also led business retention meetings and helped to close site selection projects by bringing new foreign direct investment.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Kyla to the team,” said GRP President + CEO Jennifer Wakefield. “Her diverse experience and passion for inclusive growth will be invaluable as we attract new businesses to the region.”
Ramdat holds a master’s degree in global affairs from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in geographic science from the University of Maryland, College Park. Ramdat has international experience working in Colombia and Ecuador. Ramdat also holds a Basic Economic Development certification from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
