RICHMOND, Va. — Cupron Performance Additives (Cupron), a provider of proprietary copper-based specialty chemical formulations, today announced it has closed the first tranche of its Series A Preferred Stock financing and made a strategic appointment to its board of directors.

The newly secured funds will enable Cupron to accelerate its transition into a specialty chemical company serving as the ingredient provider for personal care and hygiene brands. The capital will support expanded product development, bolster technical support for commercial partners, and grow Cupron’s presence in the market as a go-to provider of advanced copper-based solutions.

The company also announced the appointment of Mark Miller to its Board of Directors. An executive with more than 25 years of experience in advanced materials and specialty chemicals, Miller brings deep commercial and operational expertise to Cupron. He previously held leadership roles at Lonza (now Arxada), BASF, and most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Nagase Specialty Materials.
