Lidl pays $3.2m for potential store site in Chesterfield

The German-based Lidl grocery chain continues its preparations for entry into the Richmond-area market.

Commercial real estate brokerage Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer announced Monday that the discount grocer paid $3.23 million for a 4.85-acre site at 1301 Mall Drive in Chesterfield County next to Chesterfield Towne Center. Earlier, Lidl had filed plans for a 36,170-square-foot store at the site.
