Local executives more optimistic about hiring in latest survey

October 13, 2015

Top executives with small- and medium-size companies in central Virginia have become more optimistic about hiring than they were earlier in the year, according to a new survey.

About 63 percent of the 60 CEOs who responded to a third-quarter survey by the Virginia Council of CEOs and the University of Richmond said they expect to enlarge their workforce over the next six months.

That was up from 38.9 percent who said they expected to add jobs during a survey conducted in the second quarter.
